Lyrics

Oh dear Lord won’t you hear my

case, I’m working in a place and

I just can’t relate, to the hours

and the pay for six bloody days,

but until I get a break this is

where I’m going to stay.

Working for somebody else, I

said it just don’t pay.

I got me a job and man it really

sucks, but I just figure it’s part

of my bad luck and what the hell

a buck’s a buck and I’ll get out

of here with any kind of luck.

Don’t get me wrong folks it’s not

that I’m lazy, it’s just that I’d

have to be pretty damn crazy,

to work so hard for somebody

else when I could be making more

if I was working for myself.

I’m working my life away for so

little pay, waiting all week for

the seventh day and in the back

of my mind I know that there’ll

come a time, when the things I

dream of someday will be mine.

I know this story ain’t no front

page news, it’s just another case

of working man’s blues, yeah but

someday maybe when I pay my

dues, I’ll get out of here lord

and that will be news.

Lyrics

All the good and bad qualities

that you love or hate about me

there the same ones that you possess

and what you love and hate about yourself

call me crazy but i know it’s true

your a mirror of me and I’m a mirror of you

You can’t love in somebody else

what you don’t love within yourself

and what you hate within yourself your

gonna hate in everyone else

you might already know and this ain’t news

your a mirror of me and I’m a mirror of you

When you see in somebody else the qualities

that you possess the character that they

project that’s that’s mirror image you project

it’s elementary when you see the clues

your a mirror of me and I’m a mirror of you

Always look before you leap and you’ll

avoid the fire’s heat and if you rush to judge

somebody else you may be passing judgement

on your self there’s no exception and it’s

always the rule your a mirror of me and

I’m a mirror of you.

Lyrics

Free as a bird, wild like the

wind, leads with her heart, she

might let you in. she’ll drive you

crazy, make your head hazy,

wear out your body and leave you

crazy. She’ll do anything that

you’ve ever dreamed; she’ll take

you places that you’ve never

been, m Cuban queen.

Smart as a whip, sharp as a

tack, her intuition is right on

track. No use denying, she knows

when you’re lying , you can’t

deceive her or mislead her.

She knows every place that

you’ve ever been; she knows

everybody that you’ve ever

seen, my Cuban queen.

Cold hands, warm heart, gives of

herself right from the start. No

prima Donna that you take home

to mamma, she can be whatever,

woman you wanna’. she don’t

care for material things, she

don’t care if you’re a pauper or a

king, she’s my Cuban queen.

Long wavy hair, her skin’s so

fair, my favorite feature is her

derriere. She’s got a smile that’s

as bright as the sun and when

she laughs she, comes undone.

Got killer legs that are long and

lean, she’s got curves like you’ve

never seen, my Cuban queen.

She’s always fair, she loves to

share, she believes in the power

of prayer. She’s got a heart

that’s as big as a whale,

compassionate like Florence

Nightingale, she’s never phony

and she’s never mean, she’s just

as kind and as sweet as she

seems, my Cuban queen.

Lyrics

I just got your letter, telling me

the news, that you’ve found

yourself a new love and your

leaving me the blues.

You said we were soul mates and

together we would be, now you’ve

set my soul adrift, out upon the

lonesome sea.

You said you’d come back and be

with me, for the rest of

eternity. Now my dreams are

shattered, scattered just like

leaves, with no one to blame for

my troubles but me.

Well you don’t know what you’ve

got, till what you’ve got is gone,

I should have made you my wife,

but I waited much too long.

And if you ever come back, you

know right where I’ll be, I’m

right here where you left me,

out upon the lonesome sea.

Lyrics

You can roll your smoke and snort

your coke, and you can shoot your

smack and smoke your crack and

you can get so high that you think

you can fly and your going to live

forever and never going to die.

But if you dance with the devil

there’s going to be hell to pay. X3

You can drink and drive just like a

bat-out-of-hell on French

champagne or muscatel, and say

you’re your OK and you’re not that

high, or that accidents happen to

the other guy.

You can get your kicks from lot’s

of chicks, or get your high’s from

lot’s of guy’s, and you can have

more sex than anybody else and

think your so slick and that you’ll

never get sick.

You can be our cash on a horse

that’s fast or risk the rent on a

sport’s event and think you’re so

lucky you can beat the odds or

that you’re doing something special like a

demy-God.

Lyrics

I am the black sheep. I drink my

whiskey neat. I do just as I please

and I’m as free as the breeze

Baa, baa, baa, black sheep. I may

look like a wolf in sheep’s clothes,

but what I really am nobody knows.

I’m the first one you call, and I’m

the last one to come, and when you

think my loving is over, well honey,

it’s just begun.

I am the black sheep, and my loving

is so sweet, the women get no sleep

when I’m on my midnight creep.

I’ll make you believe, what you

cannot conceive, you’ll be under my

spell, my magic works so well.

I am the black sheep, and I’m not

one to tease, if push comes to

shove, I’ll bring you to your knees.

Lyrics

Eyes that sparkle in the night

hair that shines like morning light

got a voice like a nightingale at night

stops my heart when she walks by

starts again when she says hi

gotta make her mine or I’ll just die

oh my Laurie.

I never meet a girl quite like this

I believe I’m living in total bliss

fly to the moon every time I kiss

my Laurie me and my Laurie

I hold her close and I get high

when we kiss it makes me sigh

she’s the best I’ve ever had man and that is no lie

Laurie told me just the other day

made me smile when I heard her say

I fell for you boy right from the very first day

oh my Laurie oh my Laurie

Gonna ask her tonight to be all mine

marry me and be my valentine

we’ll live together making babies till the end of time

Laurie turned around and looked my way

knocked me out when I heard her say

I feel for you boy right from the very first day

oh my Laurie oh my Laurie

Baby food cats and dogs

Sunday dinners with mothers’s in law

happiest couple you ever saw me and my Laurie

me and my Laurie me and my Laurie

Lyrics

I used to be angry and always sad,

feeling blue and I was always mad,

then I learned a lesson tried and

true, when you forgive the one who

gains is you.

Forgiveness, is what you need. It’s

the key, to set you free.

If you hold a grudge inside of you,

against the ones who have done

harm to you, you won’t forgive till

they apologize, that won’t release

the pain you hold inside.

Took some time for me to really

find, now I know I’ve found real

peace of mind, didn’t know witin

is where I’d find, the kind that’s

real and lasts for a life time.

Lyrics

I’ve been stepped on, kicked

around, lied to and dumped upon.

I’ve been set up and I’ve been let

down and given a case of the run-a-

round. I love music but I hate the “biz”,

I’d go back to Kansas if I could find the “Wiz”.

But ain’t life a bitch. I work so

hard you think I would be rich, but

it’s all I can do to keep my wheels

out of the ditch and ain’t life a bitch.

I’ve worked nice clubs I’ve worked

in dives, worked Holiday Inn’s just

to stay alive. I’ve opened malls I’ve

closed dance halls, I’ve played

weddings, yeah, I’ve done em’ all

I’ve been overworked, I’ve been

underpaid, I’ve been rained out on

holidays. I’ve worked for jerks,

mean dirt bags, young putt-sis and

old scumbags. Blown up amps and

broken strings, these are just a

few of my favorite things.

I’ve played long sets without a rest

in the mid day heat of old Key West

I played in pain I’ve played

in rain; I played to the noise of

loud jet planes. In smoke filled

rooms with air so stale, I’ve played

in the cold with snow and hail.
